Olomouc
Olomouc is the fifth largest city in the Czech Republic. It lies right at the heart of Moravia, of which it was formerly the capital. Olomouc is one of the most beautiful towns in Central Europe, ranked by Lonely Planet as a “hidden gem” and one their top ten European destinations.
Olomouc is the seat of medieval Palacký University, the second-oldest university in the Czech Republic, established in 1573, the Olomouc Archdiocese, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as several noteworthy museums, theatres, and clubs.

Palacký University Olomouc - Faculty of Law
The main venue for the activities of December 1st will be the Palacký University Faculty of Law, which is situated near the city centre.
The Palacký University Faculty of Law continues with the centuries-long tradition of higher law education in Olomouc. Its modern history began in 1991, when it was established as the first post-revolutionary faculty of law in contemporary Czechoslovakia. Its mission is to support the values of freedom, democracy and civil society. It was awarded the Hannah Arendt Prize in this regard in 1996.

On the evening of December 1st, participants are invited to a reception at the splendid baroque Archbishop's Palace in Olomouc.

Palacký University Olomouc - Fort Science
The second day of the European Universities Forum will take place at the Palacký University Olomouc Fort Science, situated in the Olomouc city centre, opposite the Faculty of Law. This progressive Interactive Science Centre is an oasis of science. It combines the unique atmosphere of the place and the power to educate and inspire students and the wider public.
